Hi all. I have a server with Win2k3 Server that I use for Web hosting. At
the moment, I use the Win2k3 own services for the mail part, but I've
noticed it's a bit limited.

Now, I own a license for Exchange 2000, and I'd like to know if you suggest
me to install and use it.
Honestly, most of the work I need done is perfectly done by the basic
services, but for example I cannot set up a mailing list system...

Is Exchange Server that much complicated? Will it inherit my previous
mailslots, or will I have to reinsert them all?

You will need to configure Exhcange separately, you cannot use anything of
what is configured in the POP3 Service (as far as i know).

Exchange can be complicated.  And nothing will carry over.  You might
want to investigate a separate SMTP/POP mail server, some very good
ones are free.

Honestly I'm not afraid from complicated things, even more if I've paid big
money for them :-)
Different is if you say that Exchange is not the solution, maybe because
it's not meant to be used as a sort of public mail provider...
