Howdy,
I have wps 5 running using SSL for the login page.
Configuring https as per the infocenter appears to cause all protected (mypo
rtal) pages to be transported over https.
The problem is I would like the session to revert back to http once the logi
n process has completed. I need only encrypt the authentication information
and do not wish to have the extra overhead of SSL for protected portal pages
.
Has anyone got any pointers for how I might do this?

I have yet to test if this works, but I am told that you have to: -

1. Follow the instruction in WebSphere Portal InfoCenter to enable SSL.

2. In ConfigService.properties file, set redirect.login.ssl to true. This se
tting specifies whether the protocol for the login is https (true) or http (
false).

Let me know if this works.
John

ential information also

can this be done for a specific page,

I've implemented SSL at signon, then Non-SSL after signon. Also enabled SSL for self registration and edit my profiile. Also enabled specific portlets to be SSL enabled while others are not during the signon session. If any one wants to know how this was done give me a holler.
