For scaling /disaster recovery procedures, what is the fastest way to get a
system deployed, assuming identical hardware to a previous setup.

I thought I'd seen an article on this, but can't find it now.

A good choice for this would be to use the Windows Preinstallation
Environment.  You can create custom silent installs to meet your needs.

If you search for WinPE you will find several custom solutions for this as
well.
