I will develop BizTalk solutions for different(!) companies and I would be g
reatful to get some input on how to configure my laptop as an optimal 'BizTa
lk Developer Workstation". I know the general prerequisites, but there are s
ome decisions to make:

1) Using Windows 2003 Server or Windows XP Pro ? Or using both in a 'virtual
' environment to have server/workstation functionality on the same PC ?
2) Using SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition ?
3) Using BizTalk Server 2004 Developer Edition or using for example the Part
ner Edition ?

Here is my current notebook configuration. The only thing it really lacks is
the WSS (Windows SharePoint Services) parts required for HWS and BAM. I also
have a test server running the same under Windows Server 2003 Standard (with
all "production" BTS2004 parts installed).

Windows XP Pro
SQL Server 2000 Developer
VS.NET 2003 Enterprise Architect
BizTalk Server 2004 Developer

FYI

Windows SharePoint Services is not required for HWS and BAM (main
features). Only BAS (Business Activity Services) requires Windows
SharePoint Services. BAM Search page is hosted in BAS page.
