Our BE 7.3 (latest build) setup has been running for several years, but
suddenly, everytime a backup tries to start, we got a Dr. Watson application
error for BENGINE.EXE. I've tried the fixes in the knowledge base at
veritas.com, including deleting the DATA and CATALOG folders and letting the
system reconstruct them. I've also made sure that all users on the server
have "full access" rights in the registry.
It still hangs up ever time.
We're running it on a Windows NT 4.0, sp7, server.
