Hi All,

Before I've installed FP1 I had Commerce Server site at my local box.
After installing FP1 I use Discount Manager and Catalog Manager to
manage catalog and discounts on existing site. After that I've created
new Commerce Server site on the same local box. How can I use Discount
Manager and Catalog Manager to manage catalog and discounts on new
site?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Open the FP1 catalog manager. Go To File -> New Connection and enter the
Web service Url for your new site.
The Catalogmanager will now connect to your new site allowing you to manage
catalogs on this site.
Same applies to Discount manager.

For Discount Manager you would have to use FP1.pup to=20
unpack the new Marketing Resource into the new site.

Also don't forget to perform the Catalog Migration &=20
Marketing Resource Migration of the new site prior to=20
using the Discount/Catalog Manager.

I haven't checked but you need to check if you need to=20
create a new instance of the Web Service in your site=20
(through Fp1.pup) with a different name since=20
CatalogWebService & Marketing WebService show up as=20
registered applications under the previous site

Basically the UI remains the same but everything else=20
needs to be done again for the new site. So in all=20
probablity you'd need to setup the webservices again=20
under different paths for the second site

Thanks a lot to everybody!!!

I got it fixed.
Here is sequence of steps:
Using Commerce Site Packager unpup FP1.pup package
Select "Custom unpack"
Select "Add an application in the package to an existing site"
Select MyExistingSite
Check MarketingWebService and CatalogWebService
Changed IIS path for both of these services by adding _MyExistingSite
(since we already have these services for previous site)
Finish unpuping.
Run CatalogMigrationTool & DiscountMigrationTool for MyExistingSite
Add permissions in SQL Enterprise Manager to access
mktg_marketingService_role in MyExistingSite_commerce db for ASPNET
account
Copy AuthorizationStore.xml files from previous web services folders
to new.

should work
Alex
