I have the same setup adn the same problem or similar problem.   The only di
fference is that this occurs under normal mode as well.

I add a portlet to a page in the admin application.   I go to the MyPortal a
rea and I can see the portlet on the page.  I log out and log in again and t
he portlet is still there.   I restart the server and log in and the portlet
 is no longer on the page.
It appears that the configuration is somehow not persisted.

Has anyone managed to solve this yet?
