Hi there - we are running Portal 4.2.1 and after a restart having changed a
properties file for one of our portlets (nothing to do with Portal's
properties files) all portlets have disappeared (including admin portlets)
but places and pages remain! Without the admin portlets we are pretty much
stuck in terms of troubleshooting, and there's nothing useful in the logs.
We've changed our properties file back but no luck. Has anyone ever seen
this?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon,

Perhaps your DB has become corrupt. Try to activate WAS logs and other
portal logs ( throught the config file in <was>\lib\app\properties ).

If WAS log doesn't show any error this means that the problem will probably
be just a portal issue.

If WAS logs show that all your portlets have been initialized ( they are web
apps )
perhaps you have an extrange user permission problem that doen't let you
see all your portlets.

Do you have any DB backup?

Bye !
