The ADIC Scalar 220 tape libraries make AIT technology's fast file
access, high performance, and high capacity available for automated
server backup and near-line data storage. With current technology,
they provide up to 2 TB of storage and up to 21 GB/hour per-drive
sustained throughput. Rated for more than 1 million cartridge changes,
these libraries are designed to provide trouble-free automated storage
over years of heavy service. Multiple drives mean higher performance,
redundancy, and allow scalability-drives can be added in the field in
less than 15 minutes to increase performance or to upgrade to newer
technology.
