I was looking for a plug-in to add to Windows media player 9
so that I could not only see avi movies bat also hear them.
I searched Google and found amongst other results, the www.divx.com website.
it mentioned that the plug-in was also good for windows so I downloaded and
installed it and at the last window of the installation window I was told
that the Google toolbar was ALSO installed.
I did not ask for it and was un-notified it will be installed in the first
place!
it was difficult to remove the toolbar at first and many mentionnings of the
Google toolbar would not delete themselves from the search results.
I was angry at divx.com for adding a program I did not want without letting
me know it was going to do that so I uninstalled divx and kicked the folder
as well.
I also hope no further damage was caused to my system such as slowing it
down as I heard it did to other installing users.
what do you think?
