Question to the group. I've heard Apple Xserve doesn't have many backup
options. True??

Thanks in advance
Andy

It's just a Mac which happens to have some extra server software on it.

You can use standard MacOS backup software such as Dantz Retrospect.

You can use UNIX backup software which has been extended to understand
Mac OS X filesystem features, such as BRU.

Or you can use a client of another backup system, such as Legato.

You can even set it up with UFS, in which case you can use opensource
software like Amanda or even just write shell scripts. Or, if you're
writing shell scripts, you can get HFS-aware versions of tar & friends.

Plenty of options....
