When accessing a secure page on a 2000 IIS 5.0 server (https) I get the erro
r "The page cannot be displayed", "cannot find server or DNS error". Using
the same path and http I get "You are not authorized to view this page" so t
he page is there and secure
d. I used a CA server in our local domain to create the certificate. All s
ettings appear to be correct. There are no errors that would indicate a fai
lure with the certificate. When going to the general properties of the cert
ificate it says "You have a
private key that corresponsds to this certificate".

I am wondering if maybe I need to change the settings for the CA template or
if there is some other setting that I am not aware of.

Hi,

on General page of your Web Site check that port 443 is set (entered) for
SSL sites...

I hope this helps,

Mike

Hello,
In order to troubleshoot SSL related issues, please download and run the
SSL Diag tool from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a1d0-5a10-41bc-
83d4-06c814265282&DisplayLang=en
After the tools completes reviewing the SSL configurations for all sites on
the server, it will indicate any issues. You can save this log and post it
here for our reviewal if you cannot find the problem.

Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Yogita Manghnani
