Hi,

I am troubleshooting a CS2002 app. I see these error msg below in the
ASP.NET trace information.( ignore the numbers)

CommerceProfiles
Begin - Retrieve profile.

CommerceProfiles Error - Failed to retrieve profile. 0.044832 0.042279
CommerceProfiles Error - Failure retrieving profile. 0.045685 0.000854
CommerceProfiles Begin - Create profile. 0.046373 0.000688
CommerceProfiles End - Successfully created profile. 0.073140 0.026767
CommerceProfiles Begin - Persist profile to underlying stores.
0.074592 0.001452
CommerceProfiles Error - Failed to persist profile to underlying
stores. 0.092159 0.017566


Can anyone tell me what cause those errors? Especially the last one.
Does it has anything to do with database connection strings? User
privileges?
The same commerce site configuration works on different machine.

Hello,

The first few errors you are seeing are considered normal, I believe.  The
profile system is first trying to determine if the profile exists before
creating a new one.

The error while persisting the profile could be due to a number of things.
Do you have any entries in the event log that contain more information?

I'd recommend checking the following things:
- The connection string for your site's profile resource is correct
- The web server you are running your test on can reach your DB server
- The user running the process (on Win2003, this is the identity of your
app pool) has correct access to the profiles database (see the comerce
server documentation)
