From Powerpath 4.3 Release Notes Hitachi 9970V, 9980V, 9910 and 9960
are supported for multipathing and load balancing. No other models
mentioned. This means EMC has not tested this, a RPQ can help.

No ,support for non EMC arrays was introduced in Version 4.x as far as
I recall

The Product manaul for 4.3 states you can upgrade directly from 2.1
and 3.0.x, no intermediate steps necessary

Have a look in your manual for Powerpath, there is a "Removing
Powerpath" section in there. If you can't find the manual anymore try
powerlink.emc.com or ask EMCs customer service - all manuals are
available in pdf.
