I have installed WebSphere Portal 5.0.2 on a p670 running AIX 5.2.
Installation is running fine. We are looking to load our first
portlet. All this application is looking to achieve is to facilitate
internet access through a number of URL links to some intranet based
systems written in Visual Basic running as asp applications.

Our problem lies in trying to gain addressability to these internal
applications from the internet. i.e. To force host resolution of the
addressing rather than at the external client browser.

We have tried to build into a web clipping portlet. The results look
like a Picasso painting. Elements scattered at random across the
screen. We are presuming this to be as a result of the use of frames
in the linked to applications. We have also tried the use of the Web
Page portlet V5. This appears to resolve the linked pages at the
client rather than host. We are now out of ideas.

Does anyone know how to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Ray Harrison

Try the IBM Web Page Portlet it's full page clipping that uses an IFrame, it
's on the IBM Portlet catalog.
