Hi Scott,
Please go ahead and send me the SQL profile Trace and the Catalog export so
that I can use that to reproduce the error herr.

Fidelis,
Create a product family with a string property, then create a few variants.
Use SQL Analyser to view the value of the product family property in the
variant rows in CatalogName_CatalogProducts. No update the product family
value, and re-run the select on catalogProducts. You should see that not
all
the values have been updated to the new value. The row representing the
product family is updated, and sometimes one of the variant rows, but not
all
of them.
If you use SQL profiler, you will see that the rows that are not affected
are in fact being re-set to their old values after being updated by a prior
stored procedure call.
If you would like I could email you the sql trace and an export of the
catalog?
Regards,
Scott
