I have a Win2K Server with IIS5 that I recently added FPSE 2002 after having
used FPSE 2000 previously. The subwebs are supposed to be using Windows
authentication but now the Frontpage clients make the users enter their
username and password before they can open the subweb when they did not
before. What gives?

You might want to change your sites to basic authentication--particularly if
you want to access SharePoint Portal or WSS sites. Then you also have to se
t
the browsers to pass the existing credentials in the Advanced properties of
the Internet Options of the Intranet category.
