How to setup the user id and password for Proxy server using ContentAccess s
ervice?

The property file PortletServicesRegistryService.properties in \WebSphere\Po
rtalServer\shared\app\config\services has only options for specifying a Prox
y host and port number.

Where should we specify Proxy server user id and password?

Any pointers will be of great help.

Hello,

You can follow the procedure described in this technote :
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docvie...r />
#9001;=en

User ID and password must be declared into a credential vault slot (predefin
ed.credential.ContentAccessProxy).

If it does not exists, create it.

The procedure described by IBM is using the XML configuration interface to c
reate the slot, but you can create/modify it throught the portal administrat
ion interface.

I've tried the feature, and it works fine for me.

Good luck

Charles
