Somehow when checking server health, and re-calculating
the web, a whole subweb was deleted. Unfortunately a
recent backup is not available. Is there anyway to
recover these lost files?

No, unless you have them on a remote server.

However I can not see running a server health check would delete any files o
r folders, it may remove
the marker that indicates that a folder is FP subweb / subsite, but not any
content.

Have you actually viewed the web folder structure via Windows Explorer / My
Computer to see if the
folder is still there?

Yes, I've looked in the actual location, and they are not
there. I'm not for sure what happened. We are having
problems with the server not giving the proper
permission, etc. A backup should have been made, but....

I guess this doesn't throw them in a recylce bin
someplace?

Thanks for your help

I did look at the physical directory, and it does not
appear. I'm not for sure what happened. Maybe someone
accidentally deleted it, but it is certainly gone. We
have had difficulties managing our extensions. For
example, after setting a user up as auther of a subweb,
and then trying to access it, I get the message: the
specified file or web does not exist. I know it is
there, I was able to access it.

Anyway, back to my original problem. I was hoping the
files might appear in a recylcle bin or somewhere. A
current backup would have been a great idea.

Thanks
