I keep getting this error when trying to post info from
the form I created using the Form Page Wizard in FP 2002
SP3 (Win2k SP4 server, FPSE 2002):

"FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page
that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server
Extensions to function properly. This form or other
FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish
this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server
Extensions installed."

Sometimes I get "the page cannot be displayed" trying to
display this page:
c:\inetpub\wwwroot\mnat\_vti_bin\shtml.dll\disc4_post.htm

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the server
extensions.  I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling
IIS and the server extensions but still no luck.
The indexing service is running and I'm able to query the
catalog successfully.
The file _vti_inf.html shows that FrontPage Server
Extensions ver. 5.0.2.4330 is installed.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well, perhaps you should answer the question posed by the error
message.  Are you running your web from an IIS Virtual Web server?  And
have you configured your Virtual Web Server to use the server
extensions?

A little more information about your IIS setup is required before we
can tell you what may be wrong.  Like, is your site located on an IIS
server running what version of IIS on another box?  Is the site on a
Virtual Web Server of its own?  If it is not on a separate box, have
you included the IIS component, and search component, in the install of
your workstation OS.  Just some small items to clarify the structure of
your network, etc.

IIS ver. 5 is on the server hosting the website.  Sorry, I
thought that was the only version that could be installed
on Win2K.

I don't know if I'm making progress or not, but now when I
try to post I get:
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log
for more details.

I don't see any errors in the application event log though.

I forgot to mention that the website was published using
FrontPage.

Never mind.  I changed some permissions and all seems to
be working now.
