Not the easiest solution, but you can do this

ar=no',
false)">Pop Me</a>

to pop up the current portlet in Solo mode.  Then you can have checks in
your JSP.  If it's in SOLO mode it will apply Print Styles otherwise
regular style.  Then control those styles in a stylesheet.
