Hi All,
I'm new to BizTalk server and Application Integration area.
Now, I have good knowledge about BizTalk, I'm searching seriously for a job
as BizTalk developer.
I want anyone of our gurus here to describe BizTalk job specs,
For example:
I know that there are SAP adaptor , should I know what is SAP and how it
works,
I mean, what is the supplementary tech, should I know beside BizTalk
development?
Now, If I got job offer from USA or Europe, what is the basic knowledge I
MUST have.

This is from a trainers perspective:

From the Microsoft side, I would suggest thorough knolwedge in the following
areas:
1) C# (Orhestration code is much more C# than VB)
2) Web Services and the new WS2
3) SQL/Server, especially stored procedures and updategrams and xml
interfaces
4) NTFS Security and Windows Security in general
5) IIS
6) SQL/OLAP for cube processing and BAM (Business Activity Monitoring)
7) MSMQC (MSMQ Classic) and MSMQT (the new MSMQ for Biztalk)
8) good XMl general knowledge - XSLT, XPATH, etc...
9) WMI - Windows Management Instrumentation -used for automating tasks such
as starting/stopping services, ports, receive locations, etc...
10) Maybe even a scripting language such as VB/Script of JScript although
you could always use C#.

In addition, knowledge of visio would be good for Business Process modeling
(BPM) and general BPM , and general knowledge of Business Rule Engines and
Human Workflow solutions would be good.

The Microsoft MCSD certification would cover many of the above topics but
not all of them.

Obviously if you go to work for a company with SAP, then SAP knowledge would
be desireable. Likewise, if a company has Oracle database, then Oracle
database knowledge would be desireable. But I don't think I would suggest
going out and acquiring these skills unless you have all the other core
skills above.
