In BizTalk Explorer I tried to create receive port's receive location,
but it's raising an error that "Unable to store receive location info, not a
ble
to contact SSO Server, please check SSO Service is running", please help me
in solving this problem.

What operating system are you running on? What errors have you found in the
event log?

If you're running on WinXP with SP2, then you will need to make a registry
change to get the SSO service to run again. See KB article 841893.

Hi jeff thanks for u r response, I am using Windows 2003 server & BizTalk
server 2004, I have seen event log, it is showing just that I tried to creat
e
port nothing more than that, the actual error message is  "Could not store
transport type data for Receive Location 'Receive Location1' to config store
.
Primary SSO Server 'DOTNETCOESVR1' failed. Could not contact the SSO server
'DOTNETCOESVR1'. Check that the SSO service is running on that server",
how to check SSO service running or not, if it is not running how can I make
it runnig, I tried to use 'ssomanage -enable DOTNETCOESVR1' then it is givin
g
RPC error,I'm not able to proceed.

Hi Kamesh,

Is DOTNETCOESVR1 the name of the server the the SSO service should be
installed and running on?  Is the SSO Service actually running on this
server when you check in control panel?  Is the service account a member of
the 'SSO Administrators' group?

I'd also try ensuring you're logged on as a member of the 'SSO
Administrators' group before running the 'ssomanage' command line or
configuring the receive port and see if this works, to ensure it's not a
permission issue.
