We have a Windows 2000 SP 4 Server running IIS with Commerce Server 3
installed. It is currently connecting to another Windows 2000 Server running
SQL Server 7. Everything is working fine under our current configuration. We
are trying to upgrade the database server to a Windows 2003 Server running
SQL Server 2000 sp3a. In testing, we cannot complete an order in any Commerc
e
Server store. The error we get is described in KB 248403. This article seems
to have the solution to our problem which is to upgrade MSDTC so that both
the IIS machine & the SQL machine are running the latest MSDTC. However we
cannot find a download to upgrade to the latest MSDTC for Windows 2000
Server. Where can we find this download or how do we upgrade this component?

KB 306843 will show you how to test DTC connectivity.  It's the most likely
cause of issues.  It's probably a firewall issue not necessarly a patch
issue.
