between a network of win2k machines.

Hello,

My configuration is a follows:

4  dell dimension 4100 and Win 2k.
1 Maxtor One Touch 250GB firewire and USB external hard drive

I can connect each machine seperately to the Maxtor hard drive (i.e. only on
e cable connected to the HD) and it works fine.

My problem is that when i look on the network for this drive, it does not sh
ow. When i am on the computer with the attached drive it shows. I called Max
tor support and they told me that the network should pick it up but that can
't help me set it up.

Any ideas/fixes on how to share the Hard Drive on Win2k??

I do not see anything in the Maxtor OneTouch documentation that says it is
network-aware.  Unless Maxtor can give you instructions on how to do it or
where to find instructions I would assume that it isn't networkable.
