I have an architecture question for someone who knows the internals of
memory to memory replication in client/server mode.

We have three boxes each running three app servers in a cluster running one
large application with session data that is updated often. Is it better to
have a replicator on each box with the appservers on that box only talking
to that replicator or is it better to have them talk to another boxes
replicator? Would it be better to use few replicators (say 2) for overhead
reasons? Should we have the replicators on a separate box from the
application servers?

Do the replication servers update among themselves based on options of High,
Medium, Low and Custom in Application Servers > [servername] > Web Container
> Session Management > Distributed Environment Settings > ?

Hello,

Does DRS works correctly at your site? We've got a lot of problems with it,
on version 5.1.0.3.
Do you have explicitly installed the embedded messaging client & server? We
didn't do that because of the separate WebSphere MQ 5.3 installation on the
same (aix) box.

Hello,

Please, note, the DRS doesn't need embedded messaging client & server to
work. It's use a internal messaging provides by Websphere AS.

chap. 9, § 9.9.2 WebSphere internal messaging.
