Hi Chudi,

what is the effect you are seeing?

Beside that: try reinstalling the MCMS developer tools.

Cheers,
Stefan.

On draging the controls onto the file, It shows a crossed circular pointer
instead of a normal dotted square poniter. I don't want to reinstall as i
have started development. How can i make a template file edtable.

Hi Chudi,

1) Are you in Design Mode?
2) Have you got the file checked out of source safe (shouldn't really
matter)

Cheers

Hi Chudi,

deinstalling and reinstalling the development tools does not affect your
projects.
So this is not a blocking factor.

Cheers,
Stefan.

Hi Chudi,

If the file is writeable + in design mode; you should be able to drop items
from the toolbox on.

Give Stefan's suggestion a go; if not you can always manually code the
controls instance.

Regards

I faced the same problem.

Do the following steps:

a) Click the web site and open references

b) if there is error in loading dlls, then the drag and drop feature will no
t work.

c) the easier way is to go to .csproj file and check where the file is point
ing to and make a search for the dll and give the correct location.

this would solve the problem

Hope this helps
