No. There is no method to reliable get the product from the variantid
One thing you can try is do a Saerch using the CatalogManager object  and
set the sqlWhereClause to "VariantId='yourvariantid'"
This will return all the records in the catalog which contain this variant
id.
You can then use the ProductId to get to the products. If you have unique
variantids in your system then the above method can be used to get the
product records for the specified variantid.
