If have a working production Commerce Server 2000 SP2 site that I need to
package so I can install it on a new server.

The pup.log file contains the following error messages:

Adding object data for Electrograph to package as Config
Packaging application for Electrograph
Error finding IIS object for Electrograph:Automation error
The system cannot find the path specified.
Error finding directory for Electrograph 0:There is no entry in IIS for this
application on this machine.

The directories and the IIS application do exist on the server. Any
suggestions?

Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

Take a look at kb article Q326750 PRB: "Error Finding IIS Object" Error
Message When You Try to Package a
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=326750.

You might have already done this but just for future reference, you can
search the knowledge base at
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...;EN-US;KBHOWTO. Just to
make sure you would get a return when you went to the site, I did a search
using "Automation error commerce Error finding IIS object". It return two
matches with kb article Q326750.

Maria,

Thank you for your help.

I took a look at the kb article, it stated:

To resolve this behavior, remove the leading zeros from the s_Value column
(for example, change 01#^ to 1#^), for every occurrance of
s_WebServerInstance in the s_PropertyName column, in the ResourceProps table
of the MSCS_ADMIN database

When I query the ResourceProps table I get the following results:

s_PropertyName s_value
---------------------------------- --------------
s_WebServerInstance 10#^10#^
s_WebServerInstance 10#^

(2 row(s) affected)

The data in the s_Value column does not contain a leading zero.

I do not know the internals of the MSCS_Admin database but could my problem
be due to the value 10#^10#^ in the first record or due to the fact that the
second record has the same value (in the first four positions)?

As far as I know there is only one commerce server installation on this
server. Though it might be possible that more than one attempt was made to
install it.

Thank you again for any help you can provide.

Scott

Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

I cannot say with certainty that it is incorrect without checking the CS
applications and MSCS_Admin database.

What you can do is open a support incident or depending on how critical and
maintenance window on your system. You can make a backup of the MSCS_Admin
database, modify the entry "s_WebServerInstance 10#^10#^"
and try the pup.

Thanks,
