You'd have to write an event sink to trigger the scan, this isn't
something native to Windows SMTP service.

Hello,

Well, I would recommend a commercial solution for that, but here is an
example of using ClamAV from an event sink:

http://www.fw.hu/ha2016/attfltr.js

(not sure whether this link can reached outside from Hungary -- fw.hu is a
free web service and they often limit the access to the country where they
reside). Note that this is _not_ my code, whatever the file says, the guy
modified my attachment filter originally published at
http://www.vamsoft.com/orf/articles.asp.

BTW the ASSP project also seem to provide virus scanning using ClamAV
(http://assp.sourceforge.net/)

Hello,

If you go to www.grisoft.com you can get the FREE version=20
with the OE scan plug in it will scan all mail sent from=20
that client. This is much easier than what you are trying=20
to do.

Assuming you could force all your clients to use OE *and* install the
grisoft plug in.
