After setting the FP permissions in FP 2003 on 2002 server extensions to a
subweb folder "/login/"(http://libertyships.org/login)to the role of browse
with a single username and password (plus the default Admin user req.) and
removing the anonymous user ability, the FP keyword search component on a
separate page inside this folder requests a username and password when
activated for which cannot be satisfied by any combination of such in use on
the site (only the main site and the subweb username and password are in use
,
which will not satisfy the request).

With the above permissions deleted, the search component works fine and only
in the subweb folder of pages as I need it to.

You may see this occur by going to
http://libertyships.org/login and use the username "mate"
and password "victory" then click on the "Search this Division" link or
/login_search.htm

Why is this happening? Is there a better way to have a search client inside
a protected folder?
