Hi all,
I've changed my HD and increased my RAM from 128 to 384 MB. My OS is Win
2000 Pro. service pack 4 with IIS5. About 2 months ago I was forced to
update my system.
Now I've don the following steps to rebuild my localhost.
1) IIS 5 installed. During the installation process, Win2000 claims for
Service Pack 4 disk. I haven't it, so I've used the expand utility to
decompress the *.*_ files in my Windows 2000 CD.
I have not found some *.htr files requested by Windows, so I've skipped
these files and I've terminated the IIS5 setup, maybe succesfully.
2) Office 2000 + OSE installed.
3) Frontpage 2000 installed.
4) 60minute intranet Kit installed. I've opened my wwwroot with frontpage,
added new web and chosen the Intranet. The web has been added to the server
root c:\inetpub\wwwroot.
5) I've opened http://localhost by Internet Explorer 6 session and the
homepage appaired but all the links to Asps don't work at all. For instance
I choose this url: http://localhost/search/default.asp and the browser
stalls until the session expires.
Otherwise, Iexplorer reports the same error:
Error HTTP 500-12.
My Antivirus is NAV 2004. I know this software can create problems with asps
and asas.
Does it exists a patch for this prob?
