Web server functionality may not work correctly after you install Windows XP
Service Pack 2 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=883607
SYMPTOMS
Assume that you use one of the following programs on a Microsoft Windows XP
Professional-based computer that is configured as a Web server:
The FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions for Microsoft
The FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions for Microsoft
SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft
In this scenario, your computer may not work correctly as a Web server after
you upgrade to Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (SP2). For
example, you may not be able to connect to a Web site that is hosted on the
Web server that is running on the Windows XP SP2-based computer.
