I'm using XP Home edition. IIS and PWS is not supported by this OS. What
should i do so i can use my PC as a testing/remote server. Do i need to
upgrade to XP Professional? If not, is there an available download.

Need help. Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, you will need to upgrade to Pro to get IIS. Cassini works for the
localhost, but not remote (even within the network)

It does not help you yet, but web matrix (free tool) www.asp.net solves this
by running as it's own webserver.

.NET 2.0 comes with an integrated webserver as well for testing & developig
n
purposes as well (and I bet, this one is connected to the kernel http.sys it
can be used for production as well)...
