Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

From the error message, it seems like you have the wrong settings for the
IIS server. Open your web log file and find the server ip address. In the
KB article Q293887 which you have, in step 22 has you enter the IP address
of the server. It should be your server's ip address in your web log file.

If that doesn't work, then try synchronizing the CS settings to IIS.

could you post a couple of lines from the log file, and it's field headers??

CS Anaylsis can definately do this, so it shouldn't be hard to figure it
from your sample log file...

Sure, here it is, but it's not working with any logs at all, so maybe we
missed something, but dunno what, we followed all the steps listed.

Thanks.

These error messages appear in the event log, i'm thinking they might be
related:

CSDataWareHouse Error 49176 Log Import Task :Failed to import logs for site
: MCMSAnalysis
CSDataWareHouse Error 33308 AddLogDataSource failed for LDS: LDS for
MCMSAnalysis/Default Web Site
Commerce Server 2002 Error 32778 Failed getting destination timezone 0
Commerce Server 2002 Error 32780 Failed retrieving the timezone 0: 1
CSDataWareHouse Information 49171 Sync Task : Sync Task executed
successfully : MCMSAnalysis

Thanks

Thank you for using Microsoft Newsgroups.

From the error messages:
CSDataWareHouse Error 49176 Log Import Task :Failed to import logs for
site: MCMSAnalysis
CSDataWareHouse Error 33308 AddLogDataSource failed for LDS: LDS for
MCMSAnalysis/Default Web Site
Commerce Server 2002 Error 32778 Failed getting destination timezone 0
Commerce Server 2002 Error 32780 Failed retrieving the timezone 0: 1
CSDataWareHouse Information 49171 Sync Task : Sync Task executed
successfully : MCMSAnalysis

Go into CSM and look at the properties of the CS2K application. Modify
them and then synch the IIS settings. Let me know if I am not explaing
which settings I am having you check. I am pretty confident that they are
incorrect based on the error "AddLogDataSource failed for LDS". Also make
sure you are not capturing the web logs with the setting "use local time
for thenameing and rollover" checked.

If that still doesn't make it work then:
1. From a command prompt, run "CSDWDBGSRV.EXE > c:\dtsimport.txt" (without
the quotation marks). Note that this will run the Commerce
Server Data Warehouse debug server and pipe any returned information
into the Dtsimport.txt file in the root of the C: drive.

2. Run the SQL Server DTS package.

3. After the DTS package has completed, return to the command prompt where
CSDWDBGSRV is running and press <ctrl> " C" (without the
quotation marks) to stop the debug server.

4. Examine the c:\dtsimport.txt file to see the information collected by
the debug server during the package execution.

Yes, you were right the DNS for the web server wasn't right.
Thank you very much!
