Hi

I'm using Directory Server 4.1 with Portal Server 4.2.1 Extend and am having
an issue with groups losing contents.

The uniquemember attribute is resetting to empty (not to dummygroupuser) on
certain groups occasionally. I think the issue is related to deleting
ldap/portal users and groups through the IBM admin portlet, but the problem
is intermittent.

One of the groups, 'Employees' is manually maintained (through admin
porltets) and after deleting users (who would have been in the group) we
subsequently noticed that it was empty. Users still have the rights from
being in the group in portal until it's is updated in the portal (but not in
domino as da is refreshed on scheduled basis).

Similarly, deleting a group that is contained in other groups removes all
other groups from the top level group(s).

Additional LDAP activity: 2 domino servers access the ldap directory through
directory assistance, and there is scheduled code reading contents of groups
and (one way) syncing to related DB2 tables (not reading 'Employees' group).
Also, certain users are added to unrelated group on registering.

We have never encountered the issue on our test environment which is similar
but without domino servers accessing.

Has anyone encountered this or similar issues before?

Michael
