I purchased a template years ago which was a Frontpage template I used on an
Windows Server ISP. I just switched over to a Linux based ISP which has
Front Page extensions installed. However now the web page does not show the
page buttons on the left hand margin. Other then that the page looks fine,
is there any reason it would not work on a Linux server with Front Page
extensions?

Page is at.... http://acctgrp.com

Any ideas why it would not work???

The navigation you are using should work on any server with any version of
FrontPage extensions.

Check that the Navigation view is intact, and that you published using FP's
HTTP publish mode.

Yes I published the whole web page.

Look at the following pages which are ok.
http://acctgrp.com/sites.htm
http://www.acctgrp.com/jobs.htm

Then look at the HOME and Introduction pages which the nav bar is missing.
http://acctgrp.com
http://acctgrp.com/intro.htm

It seems that the links are trying to find a capitalized INTRO.HTM page.
Where can I change this. The file is in lower case? I think the lower case
and upper case reference is what is hurting me when I moved the web site to
a Linux server. All file names are in lower case.

Thanks.

Open the Live site and check for discrepancies there. Unix is case
sensitive, therefore (as you have commented) INTRO.HTM and intro.htm are two
different files.

http://acctgrp.com/index.htm is an exact copy of your home page (I have not
managed to discover its name), but the link bars work correctly (apart from
INTRO.HTM)

You will probably have to rearrange the links in Navigation view in the
online site, then eliminate any spurious pages.

As far as intro.htm is concerned, try renaming to INTRO.HTM, then rename
back to intro.htm. The rename process may have to be done in two stages in
each direction - intro.htm to INTRO.HTML to INTRO.HTM, and again in the
reverse order.

FrontPage should change the hyperlinks correctly.

Thanks Ron. Renaming the files and then renaming then back again fixed my
problems. Capitalization was the problem. Thanks!

Here is one more minor issue I have never been able to fix. Go to the HOME
page. at http://acctgrp.com. Notice when you put the cursor over the HOME
nav bar it turns pink. Now look at any other page and when the cursor goes
over the dark brown active nav bar link it does not turn pink. I prefer not
to have it go pink on the active page but for some reason it does for only
the HOME page. Any ideas why this happens. My graphic files are correct.
I am still using FrontPage 2002, is this a bug that is fixed in 2003?

Thanks again.

I just applied a theme and nav bar to a test web and have the same effect
with FP2003.

I do not use themes normally, but have never seen this problem with text
links.

FP2003 applies themes using css
- you have applied your theme not using CSS and not setting it as the defaul
t theme for all pages
<meta name="Microsoft Theme" content="money 011">

Remove the theme from all pages and then reapply it after you select active
colors
For more info on FP 2003 themes see
