Hello,
Is there a way to customize website search and especially search results in
FrontPage 2003 - change text, fonts etc.?
I would appreciate your help.
Thank you,

Actually, there is a way to customize the search results. If you are
using the Search component or the search page template, the search
results are presented in a run-time "modification" of the .htx file
that is associated with the search component or page template. It is
located in the _derived directory in the root of the web. The name of
the .htx file is related to the name of the search form page.
All the fonts and borders are defined in the .htx file, and you can
change them. It gets quite messy in that you also have to change them
in each cell of the results table, though only in the top row.
You really should be asking for the details of all this in the
public.Inetserver.Indexserver newsgroup.

That's Cool! When I get a chance I'm going to have to experiment with some
style sheets for it.
Would you happen to know under what conditions FrontPage will overwrite the
edits to this file? I know that the photogallery's components will stay
modified until you bring up the photogallery properties dialog box, but
there's nothing like that for the search component.

This response assumes that Index Server is in use which it may not be depend
ing upon the version of the FPSE in use and the server.
