I'm having a little trouble configuring KDE's laptop accessories.

My klaptop battery monitor only shows up when I'm logged in as root.
I'd like it to be on the applet bar for my main user account. My user
accont appears to have a similar config file as root, but, it just
doesn't show up. I can't find the applet anywhere (that is, I can't
find an icon for the applet, I can find the binary using "locate").

It looks almost as if I can only run it as root (given that's the only
user that has it). Is that true, and if so, is there a way to
configure it so _all_ users can access it? This is my personal system
and user security is not as significant as if many people were
accessing it.

Gwen

KDE Control Center-->Power Control-->Laptop Battery

Show battery monitor enabled (check mark showing)

It should show up the the System tray if Applet is enabled (default
setting)

FYI: try using gkrellm instead;
