How can I use multiple different urlscan.ini files for different web
instances.

I can do a wildcard application mapping at a websites level or
selectively attached a urlscan extension at site-by-site, but I am still
dealing with the same configuration setting file.

Can I associate individual website with its own urlscan.ini that doesn't
effects others, and how if possible?

Appreciate any help -

Thanks
Zaheer

Poorly, unfortunatley. You need to install URLScan, then copy the
files to separate folders for each version you want, then manually
install it as an ISAPI filter for each site, pointing to the folder
with the version you want running for that site.

It's a known issue, and an unsupported program written by a programmer
on the IIS team. It's also somewhat moot now with IIS6, so I doubt
this will change in the future.

I tried everything I could possible to make it work per your suggestion
but it is not working.
I have install it first, created a new folder copied all the
files/folder to the new directory. For website, pointed the .dll from
this new folder. Re-started the w3service. No luck.

The funny thing is, when I attached this new version of urlscan.dll, it
still taking setting from original path. I am guessing it is taking some
registry setting. If it does, then I would question if I can have
registry key points to multiple urlscan.ini files.

Any thoughts..!

Thanks
Zaheer
