I have just configured squid as transparent proxy.
I'm a newbie in this respect. Can anyone guide me how to measure
the performance to the squid ? is there any tool ?

You can get squid transparant proxy settings informations from using,
http://squid.visolve.com/squid/trans_caching.htm

If you want to measure squid's performance then use polygraph bench mark too
l to measure it's request satisfaction there. 

Based on the HIT / MISS rate we can also measure performance of squid reques
ts satisfacation. IF you want then post your squid. conf ( only non # commen
ts) and log file reports.
