After setting the FrontPage permissions in FP 2003 (on a Windows server with
FP server extensions) for a subweb with the role of browse
with a single username and password and removing the anonymous user ability,
the FP keyword search component on a separate page inside this folder
requests a username and password after submitting the search, even though th
e
user is already logged in.

With the above permissions deleted, the search component works fine and
doesn't prompt for a username/password.

Why is this happening? Is there a better way to have a search client inside
a protected folder?
