Hello,

I am trying to install FreeBSD 5.2 on Compaq Presario R3000T laptop
PC. The boot process starts and I get a menu with the seven opotions
on it. When I select 1 to start the boot process, my system shuts
down. This is happening with other options also.

I have tried the same CD on other systems and they are booting up
properly to start the install process.

I have installed Linux on my system and it is working fine. So am sure
that there are no hardware failures.

Can anyone suggest why this is happening and what can be done to
correct it?

Regards
Vineet
