Server error: The Web server at "http://localhost" does not appear to have
Windows SharePoint Services installed.
etc.........

BUT: When I check the the:

click>>>All tasks>>> Check Server Extentions and the result bis " No Problem
Found".

I *believe* it has to do with the Windows Firewall Settings and/or the other
security settings provided with WinXP SP2. You might try a Windows XP
Newsgroup.

Hi- I also have this problem- has anybody posted or knows of a solution. I
don't understand the post concerning the firewall since I have turned it off
 and nothing changes.

I am new to this forum- so excuse me if this not the correct format.

Since you have deleted the prior posts, it's hard to follow what you are
talking about.
