Hi
You need frontpage server extensions in your local website to get the
search working.
The Frontpage server extensions can be installed in a computer running
microsoft IIS ( internet information service manager). Internet information
server comes along with professional version Windows XP and windows 2000
and 20003 server.
you can get the Frontpage server extensions 2002 from the following location

After installing the frontpage server extensions you could configure the
indexing service to congfigue search
