From looking through previous posts adn support cases for similar errors,
the most common cause is HTTP proxy misconfiguration.  Are you going
through an HTTP proxy?  Here are some suggestions for things to try
(borrowed from another post I found).

This could be the proxy server setting issue or Internet Explorer
settings issue.

1. Make sure you have configured your site with FQDN.
2. Set authentication to Basic Authentication.
3. Access site by FQDN not by its IP address
4. On the client computer, set Internet Explorer to not use the proxy
server
for that particular FQDN address.
5. On the client computer, set Internet Explorer "Security" to
"Default" and on "Advanced" page click on "Restore Defaults"

I'm having the same exact problem.  Periodically, I will receive the
error "Errors occurred while loading the Business Desk
application".  There are no errors in the event log, but there are some
in the IIS log.

Here is what's happening:

(File accessed --> IIS Status Code)
bizdesk.asp --> 401.2
bizdesk.asp --> 200.0
assets/BDLogo.gif --> 401.2
assets/BDLogo.gif --> 200.0

The 401.2 IIS status code is "Access denied. Logon failed due to server
configuration."  Although it appears that each file eventually succeeds
with a 200.0 status code, I can assure you that all I'm seeing is the
error.

A recycling of the app pool (IIS6) fixes the problem.  Does anyone have
any insight into what's happening?  I really need to keep this from
happening in production.
