experimenting with exchange server , Optonline ISP ; couldn't send; found
ISP blocks port 25.
Client (where this Exchange Server will live) uses Doteasy.com for POP and
SMTP (so they say). I just tried to use their Outlook settings to send; it
fails. Q: if ISP stops port25, does this mean they (Optonline) are the ONLY
SMTP service I can use ?

If they block 25 (which is common in consumer pooled IP addresses such
as dialup or DSL) then they will have their own SMTP server configured
to accept traffic from your IP(s)

If I read your question correctly, yes, then the ISPs SMTP is the only
route for you.

You should

1) change your ISP
or
2) if you have a server available outside your ISPs address space reroute
the mails via a different port....
