To All Users of ITYS,

Yesterday I received a notice from my upstream provider JVDS that my IP
address came up using Bit Torrent, a growingly popular P2P file sharing
tool that is frequently used to exchange movies that are illegally
ripped from DVD's.  The entirety of the information I have is below[0],
I have been asked to "Please resolve" this.

I have not been told what resolution has been requested, nor has any
information been disclosed by me.  None of the logs that I have
correlate this complaint nor are any of those files found on
216.17.101.36, a.k.a. "pawn.itys.net" I believe that this was done using
TOR[1], which is still running on ITYS and will continue as is Mixmaster
and Mixminion.  These actions are comparible to the USPS passing along a
package containing a CD or Drugs, or even Anthrax.

My attorneys have been contacted, and I have been informed that by
cooperating, I face no liability.  I have not been provided a warrant,
nor a "Cease and Decist" request.

If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  An
official "Log Retention Policy" is being posted and will be sent out, in
addition to a formal "Privacy Policy" and "Law Enforcement Cooperation
Policy".
