I have a RedHat Enterprise ES 3 machine that are standing in a
computer room and do calculations. When I start it, it starts with X
and the I press CTRL+ALT+F1 to go to console mode. The problem is that
/etc/console have to be writeable so that the calculation can present
the result even if I don't are logged in. Is it any better way to do
that?

The second problem is that if I go back to X (that I have to do to
administrate the calculations), the permissions on the /etc/console
are reseted.

Write the results to a file? instead of the console.
