We host our own web site on windows 2003 machine and frontpage server
extensions is intalled. I am in the administrator group and able to make
changes via my computer. But when I use my userid on another machine or any
other administrators are not able to make changes on the files. Error is:
"Server error: The server extensions were unable to access the file
"\\servername\foldername\_ _vti_pvt\service.lck. Please check the file
permissions".

administrators have full access on these folders with sharing and security
privliges.

thanks for help

EK

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your repsonse, but I figure out that our problem is different.
Users even administrator group cannot write on the windows 2003 shared
folder. I checked sessions and noticed that server picksup the intranet
userid, which is entered on the internet explorer screen when user wants see
intranet pages, and it has just read privliges, not the windows userid.

How can I change server configurations, so it picksup windows userid not IE
userid?

thanks
